The Neumans' Missions Update
Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,

Wow, our 2 year term with SIM is now over.  We had a great experience assisting with the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa.  We saw so much and learned so much and were even able to bring two pieces of Ethiopia home with us, our two adopted sons, Teddy and Levi.

As this phase of our lives comes to a close, we are trying to take a little time to recuperate.  However, getting all of our affairs back in order after almost 2 years away has taken some time.  The kids are now registered for school, our health cards and driver’s licenses have been renewed and things are starting to come together.

Now that Pat is back in Canada, 3D Technologies will be fully functional again and we look forward to seeing some old customers and meeting some new ones.  However, we experienced a lot of things in Ethiopia that have impacted us forever.  We experienced working with a church that is alive and active in people’s lives.  We saw a church that ran HIV/AIDS programs, ran schools, housed Compassion offices and did income generating for poor people.  In essence, we worked with a church that was integrated with the community, working to meet physical, psychological and spiritual needs.

We want to take these experiences and share them with the church here in Canada.  We want the western church to be active in more than just Sunday morning programs for church people.  To support this new endeavour, Pat will attend one year of Bible college just down the road at Heritage College & Seminary this fall.  After this year of school, we will be open to working with the church here in Canada, or perhaps continuing with more schooling.

3D Technologies will continue to operate for the foreseeable future, however, it will never quite be the same as it was before we left for Ethiopia.  3D Technologies will be a way to earn money so we can do ministry, not a full-time job in itself.  For this year, that means paying the bills while Pat goes to school.  For next year, well, we’ll let you know when we know!

As always, we appreciate your continued support of our ministry here in Canada and for the two years we spent in Ethiopia.  Keep checking this site for occasional updates on the Neuman family, other Mission projects and 3D Technologies.

Pat, Anita, Teddy, Abi, Miranda and Levi
